Jay Gardam is the owner of Peak Physique Hot Yoga Prospect and offers a space that is not only comforting but also a place of community. As well as being one of the Teachers at the Studio you will constantly see Jay at the studio jumping onto a mat next to you or out in the community area up for a chat.
For Jay, yoga is quiet a new addition to his own personal development.
He has always had a passion for learning (philosophy being – I can’t learn everything, but I’ll die trying), so having been to numerous tertiary institutions, ranging from Law to Arts, Financial Admin to Psychology his passion for knowledge has grown. It was about 6 years ago that Jay started to focus his studies more on personal health and fitness and completed his cert III and IV in fitness.
From there, Jay’s hunger to learn more grow, his passion for learning needed to go a little deeper, and it was when he did his first Yoga class, that he realised that is where his own personal development took a deeper turn. After completing his 200hr Teacher training in mid 2017, Jay ventured out leaving his Desk job to become a full time yoga teacher, and from there have been fortunate enough to be apart of the Yoga community in Adelaide.
Having that Personal Training background, Jay felt that the Peak Physique classes really reflect the ability to get that great ‘work out’ with that great ‘work in’ where you are still able to connect yourself with the mind, body and breath.
The Peak Physique Prospect studio, which is staffed by awesome yoga teachers, features bathroom/changeroom facilities, a dedicated student storage area. Tap water is provided free-of-charge (so don’t forget your water bottle!) – there’s also bottled water for sale. Students can purchase and hire yoga mats at reception. Car parking is available at the front of the studio, and on Prospect Road.
A unique feature of Peak Physique Hot Yoga Prospect is that the studio focuses on the complete practice of yoga – not just the Asana and Posture movement aspect. This holistic approach incorporates meditation, breath-work (Pranayama) and mindfulness.
So, what are you waiting for? Come join Jay and team on the mat at Peak Physique Hot Yoga Prospect.
