Green Lattes: Healthy, Energising and Milk-Free!

Love your morning latte but looking for an alternative? We have the answer! If you’re aiming to cut your coffee intake, or feel like your milky latte is disrupting your tummy, this deliciously frothy latte is just what you need in your life! Made from matcha tea and coconut oil, it is an energising, warming and healthy concoction and the coconut oil is great for keeping hunger cravings at bay!

“I drink matcha every morning. I find that it gives me energy, wakes me up and prepares me for the day. It is a part of my everyday routine and health!”

 

 

Ingredients:

1 cup water

1 teaspoon matcha powder

1 teaspoon vanilla essence

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1 teaspoon rice malt syrup (or honey, if you prefer).

Method:

Boil the water and put into a mug with the matcha powder. Allow to cool down slightly (for just under 10 minutes or until warm, rather than boiling).

 

Add the matcha mixture to a high speed blender along with the other ingredients.

 

Blend for 10 seconds, pause and then blend for another 10 seconds. The more you blend, the frothier the drink will be.

 

Pour the liquid into a mug. You will notice that the coconut oil has frothed, creating a milk-like look and texture. Enjoy!

Remember, one cup of matcha is equivalent to 10 cups of green tea! Talk about an antioxidant boost!
